Colors of Winter

My friend @amberspiotti and I shot this look while walking through beautiful Topsmead State Forest in Litchfield, CT. Although winter is rolling in, it was a gorgeous day and felt so good to breathe in some fresh air and explore the quiet landscape.

Blue sky, brown earth, and green trees served as my inspiration. I all but blended into the surrounding forest in my khaki ensemble and jeans, with just my burgundy hat distinguishing me from the colors of winter.

As we explored the park, we made our way to a little house we had seen in the distance, which turned out to be a bird observatory. The open windows and weathered wooden interior made for some creative shots, and gave us a little break from the cold. All in all, a successful adventure. Outfit details below.
