Clean Routine Beauty Box

Happy Friday Beauties!

Today I'm reviewing the Clean Routine Beauty Box; a monthly subscription box of 4-5 non-toxic and cruelty free beauty samples delivered to your doorstep. If you know me, you know that I'm a little obsessed with clean beauty and have been known to create lots of weird DIY face masks and scrubs from the items in my pantry. I'm always searching for new brands to try and Clean Routine Beauty literally does the work for me. Each month a new box is sent out filled with samples (sometimes full sized products!) from different clean beauty brands. Make-up, hair care, lip care, and skin care products are included, and my May box actually had 4 full sized products in it! Sound good? Get 20% off with my code: NICOLE20

Each box is curated for the month that it's sent out and May is filled with products to help out with sun care. May is tricky month for skin, as we're being exposed to stronger sunlight after a long winter and our skin is sensitive. It's easy to neglect putting on sunscreen to spend an hour outside toasting as the days begin to get warmer. Two products in my Beauty Box will help make sunbathing a little safer. The first is from New Height Naturals. Yeah, it's for kids but I am 100% using this on myself all summer long. I've been searching for a sunscreen without harmful ingredients and this one fits all of my requirements. It's certified orgranic and biodegradable, made with non-nano zinc oxide, and free of soy, gluten, diary, and corn. It's water resistant, SPF 30, and comes in an easy to apply stick form that rubs right into the skin. I can't wait for our pool to open so I can slather myself up and get my (safe) tan on!

The second sun care product in my box is one that I didn't even know I needed. It's a Cocoa Eye Butter from Berlin Skin, formulated to soothe skin around the eyes after being out in the sun. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see a few lines here and there around my eyes and I've always suffered from puffy bags. This eye butter is light but powerful; you only need a little bit. It's made with cocoa butter, Vitamin C, and carrot seed oil (one of my favorites) to hydrate, soften lines, reduce inflammation, and brighten dark spots. Can it pay my bills, too? I think maybe it could.

The last two items in my Beauty Box are perfect to add to your everyday summer beauty routine. I got a Mineral Eye Shadow in Smokey Brown from Lily Lolo along with an Organic Pineapple Lip Balm from Kiss me Honey. The eye shadow is a shimmery, pink-brown and is deeply pigmented. I love that this is clean make-up that I can feel good about wearing. It's free from harsh chemicals, dyes, fillers, and fragrance. I'm wearing the pineapple lip balm as I write this and my lips feel super smooth and silky. The lip balm comes in an easy-to-throw-in-your-purse chapstick, smells amazing without being too strong, and on top of being organic it's also got coconut and sweet almond oil, Shea butter, Vitamin E, and grapefruit seed extract. I'm planning to wearing this everyday of the summer.

All of these products come in a cute little box along with coupons and an info card that tells you everything you need to know about each item. I'm absolutely in love with Clean Routine Beauty and can't wait to see what's in next month's box! Don't forget to grab 20% off with code NICOLE20.
