Flowers on My Mind
I am so ready for spring.
Don't get me wrong, I love freshly fallen snow, crisp air, and cuddling by the fire. But this winter has just been plain cold, with not much snow and more freezing rain and slush than is ever necessary. I finally got outside yesterday to shoot this look in the sun. I'm ready for ALL the floral prints and I'm starting with this bodysuit. Outfit details at the bottom of this post.
Staying with that theme, this week I'm thinking about finding fresh ways to open up and face the sun. It's so important to be mindful of our reactions to the 'freezing rains' and 'slush' in our emotional lives. When things are cold and grey, how do we deal with it? Can we find some warmth within ourselves, or do we get angry that the sun isn't shining for us?
By being aware of our reactions and thoughts toward the ups and downs of daily life, we can start to recognize that we have total control over our thoughts and mindset. Once we become aware of this power we can start to use it by turning any rainy thoughts into sunny ones. Slowly the clouds will start to clear as we practice positivity and when it does rain, it won't seem so bad.
