Coconut Tea Latte

I started making these to substitute for a regular coffee latte, which I became obsessed with abroad. We all know that a Starbucks latte isn't the best for our bodies and neither is too much caffeine. This coconut tea latte is the perfect way to cut back, and will still give you an energy boost that tastes delicious. You can make it with any kind of tea, just be aware that milk will curdle in most herbal teas. I like making it with peppermint green tea, or my favorite chai tea.

Coconut Tea Latte

What You Need:

  • Blender - I use my Nutribullet. Tip: If you don't have a blender you can also use an electric mixer like what you would use for baking.
  • Water
  • Tea Bag
  • Coconut Oil
  • Your choice of milk
  • Honey - Optional, or your choice of sweetener.

Directions:

  1. Bring water to a boil, either in a teapot or in a pot on the stove.
  2. Place place teabag in blender cup, or in a bowl if using electric mixer.
  3. Add milk, coconut oil, and honey.
  4. Remove teabag from cup or bowl, and place in mug or throw away if done steeping.
  5. Blend for a few seconds.
  6. Pour into mug. Coconut oil will create a foamy froth. Enjoy!
